Curley v Google
Google agreed to a $50 million settlement over claims it discriminated against Black and Black+ employees in California and New York. If you're a current or former Google employee who fits the class definition, you need to file a claim by July 6, 2026 to receive any payment.
$50 million Settlement Fund
The total settlement fund is $50 million. That amount covers payments to class members, attorneys' fees and costs, service awards to the named plaintiffs, payroll taxes, and administrative costs. Individual payment amounts depend on how many people file valid claims and the allocation formula in the settlement agreement.

Watch out for
- July 6, 2026 is the hard cutoff. File after that and you get nothing, even though you're still bound by the release.
- If you signed a general release of claims between October 15, 2017 and December 7, 2025, you're likely excluded from the class.
- Employees who worked exclusively in a Legal job family or subfamily are not included.
- Whether you file or not, you've already released your race-discrimination claims against Google — unless you opted out.
- Final approval came down May 14, 2026, so the payment process is already running.
We prepare — you file on the official site yourself. This is not legal advice and is not an eligibility decision; the administrator and court decide.

Where is the official Curley v Google claim form?
The official claim form is hosted by the settlement administrator. Use the 'Open official claim form' button on this page — never pay a fee to file.
How do I know if I'm in the class?
If Google's records identify you as Black or Black+ and you held a level 3-6 job in California (March 18, 2018 – December 31, 2023) or New York (October 15, 2017 – December 31, 2023), you're likely in. If you received a mailed notice, that means Google's records already flag you as a class member.
What's the deadline to file?
Your claim form must be submitted by July 6, 2026. Missing that date means you won't receive a payment, even though you're still bound by the settlement's release of claims.
Will I get paid automatically if I don't file?
No. You have to submit a claim form to receive any money. If you don't file, you get nothing from the fund but you still released your claims against Google when the court approved the settlement.
Does participating admit that Google discriminated against me personally?
No. Google denies all allegations, and the court hasn't ruled on the merits. The settlement is a negotiated compromise, not a finding of fault.
What if I can't log in to the claim portal?
The administrator has confirmed that login issues are caused by security settings on individual computers, not the site itself. Call 1-800-401-4804 or email [email protected] for help.
