What SettleSignal is

SettleSignal is a verified catalog of US class-action settlements and refund programs. For each settlement we publish, we research the official record — court orders, the settlement administrator's pages, and government refund program pages — and record what each value is, which official authority backs it, and the date we checked it. Browsing and tracking are free. Our goal is simple: help people find real settlements they may qualify for, understand the deadlines and proof rules that actually apply, and reach the official claim form without wading through scams and look-alike pages.

Who runs it

SettleSignal is built and maintained by an independent product team. We publish under the organizational name the SettleSignal Verification Desk, the editorial entity responsible for every published record. We are not affiliated with any settlement administrator, law firm, court, or government agency, and we are not paid by them to list a settlement. That independence is the whole point: our only job is to show you what the official record says and where it came from.

Our editorial method

We work official-source-first. Each record is traced to at least one Tier-1 official source before it is published, every field carries a named authority and a verification date, and records are re-checked on a schedule so deadlines and payment status stay current. No record publishes automatically — it must pass a deterministic verification gate first. The full process, including what each verification tier means, is documented on our how we verify page.

What we are not

SettleSignal is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. We do not file claims on your behalf, do not represent you in any proceeding, and do not assess your individual eligibility. The settlement administrator and the court determine eligibility and payment amounts — not us. We point you to the official claim form; you file it yourself. For legal advice, consult a licensed attorney.

How we make money

Browsing and tracking settlements on SettleSignal is free, and we never take a cut of any settlement payment — payments are issued by the administrator, not by us. We fund the product by licensing our verified settlement dataset, with full per-field provenance, to companies through a keyed API. If that is relevant to your business, see our data licensing page. Licensing does not influence which settlements we list or how we describe them; the official record does.
