NCAA $303 Million Volunteer Coach Antitrust Settlement

1. Confirm you served as a volunteer coach for an NCAA Division I athletics program (other than baseball) at any time between March 17, 2019, and June 30, 2023.
2. Locate the postcard mailed to you by the settlement administrator — it contains your unique claim ID and identification number needed to file online.
3. Go to the settlement claim website and file online using your claim ID and identification number, or download and print the PDF claim form and mail it to the administrator.
4. Review the pre-populated information from your school; if correct, complete the remaining fields, sign, and submit.
5. If any school-provided information is incorrect, complete all sections yourself and attach supporting documentation to dispute it.
6. Gather and attach proof of your volunteer coach role: acceptable documents include appointment letters, team rosters, NCAA compliance records, signed statements from former players or coaches, or other records showing your role and service dates.
7. Choose your payment method — direct deposit (ACH) or a mailed check.
8. If mailing a paper form, send it to: Ray v. NCAA Volunteer Coach Settlement, c/o A.B. Data Ltd., PO Box 173059, Milwaukee, WI 53217.
9. After submitting, watch for a confirmation of receipt from the administrator.

Watch out for

• Coaches in baseball are excluded from the settlement class and cannot file a claim.
• Coaches in FBS football and men's/women's basketball are also excluded from the class.
• Taking no action means you receive no payment and you forfeit your right to pursue independent legal action.
• If the administrator's pre-populated school data is wrong, you must affirmatively dispute it by completing all sections and submitting supporting materials — silence is treated as agreement.
• Payment will not be issued until after the court resolves any appeals and grants final approval of the settlement.
• Your actual payment depends on the number of valid claims submitted and the wages of the lowest-paid coach on your team — the estimated average is not guaranteed.
